Hometown News For Orange County, Texas
(Plantersville, Texas) Once upon a time a Lord and Lady fell in love; they went to a magical village to celebrate their marriage.
Amidst the blossoming flowers and burgeoning vines, they pledged their love.
Fairy tale weddings are possible through the efforts of the well trained wedding staff of the Texas Renaissance Festival.
They are working year round to ensure that they can make the fantasy of a dream wedding an attainable reality for over 75 brides this fall.
A tremendous amount of planning, long hours, and hard work is put in by the team so that the brides themselves have little to fret about.
The festival staff takes pride in the fact that a bride can show up with her dress and leave the rest to them.
“We offer something that no one and I do mean no one else, does:” boasts Shelly Lee, the passionate Wedding Coordinator of the festival, “the beauty and the magic of our venues, the selection of reception areas and menus, the magic of the festival environment, and the constant and diligent care of our staff.
Any bride who lets us take care of her wedding will be swept off her feet; she will surely put Cinderella and Snow White to shame.” Cinderella and Snow White better watch out, because Shelly and her team are taking the bridal world by storm this season.
They will be available at the following wedding shows, The Grimes County Business Expo, and Bridal Extravaganza.
In addition to their exhibition schedule, the festival’s staff has been quite busy out at festival grounds.
They are in the throes of renovation and reconstruction of some of the magical venues in order to provide more extensive options and even more beautiful surroundings for couples to exchange their vows.
Two venues in particular are receiving an exciting facelift. The English Garden and the Rose Garden are being redesigned to incorporate additional seating for larger gatherings.
There has also been an expansion of their statuaries, and some additional beautiful flowers and vines have found their home in these gardens; these two venues will also have optional coverings for inclement weather.
Of course the traditional vine covered chapel, the open air Roman Basilica, and the peaceful Water Garden will still be available as backdrops for fairy tale weddings.
Group tours of the gardens and venues are held at 10 a.m.
the first Saturday of each month, March through September.
Private tours can also be pre-arranged by calling the festival office, 1-800-458-3435, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.
