Orange Lula M. Leger Johnson, 73, of Orange, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2009 in Lake Charles, La. Mass of Christian Burial was Friday, Feb. 6 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Orange. Officiating was the Rev. Tom Phelan. Interment followed at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery. A Rosary was held Thursday at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Lula was born on Jan. 3, 1936, in Duson, La. She was the daughter of Antoine and Laurence (Savoy) Leger. She enjoyed painting, crocheting and had a large collection of afghans. She also loved taking care of her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Robert H. Leger; and son, Randy Johnson.
Lula is survived by her husband, Kenneth A. Johnson; daughter, Dana Lin Price, both of Orange; grandchildren, Ashleigh Price and Courtney Price; brothers, Louis L. Leger, James Ray Leger; sister, Betty Hanchey and husband Gene, all of Sulphur; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, J.W. (Teboy) and Eleanor Johnson.
