Orange KCs Fish Fry Knights of Columbus Council 13825 will sell fried catfish dinners March 13, 20, 27 and Apr. 3 from 4:30 p.m. until 6:45 p.m. Fridays during Lent in the San Damiano Center of St. Francis Catholic Church, 4300 Meeks Drive. Plates are $7 and include two pieces of fish, fries, hush puppies, coleslaw and cake, available for dine-in or carry-out. Proceeds will go to programs supported by the council.

Lenten meditations and lunch at First Presbyterian First Presbyterian Church of Orange will be offering a series of Lenten meditations to the community and church members on four consecutive Wednesdays, March 18 through April 8 at noon.

Sack lunches will be available in the Gillespie Building.

Participants are welcome to dine in or dine out.

The Fellowship Hall of the Lutcher Building will be open for silent prayer and meditation.

Printed devotionals will be available.

The Director of Music, Darren Hoyland, will be playing the fifty year old Casavant seventy-three rank French-style pipe organ located in the sanctuary.

Lent is a forty day period , proceding Easter, set aside by the Christian faith for prayer, meditation, and repentance.

The public is invited to join them for silent prayer and meditation.

Food Pantry looks to re-open in May The Bridge City Orangefield Ministerial Alliance’s food pantry hopes to re-open in May. Their food program had extensive loss due to Hurricane Ike. The Ministerial Alliance was awarded renovation funds from South East Texas Emergency Relief Fund, Texas Disaster Relief Fund and Entergy Hurricane Relief Fund. Church To Sell Barbecue Dinners New Anointing Church will sell barbecue dinners from 10 a.m.- 3 p.m., Saturday, March 14 . Meals are $7 per plate with choice of any 2 meats. Chicken (Leg Qtrs), Brisket or Links will be served with potato salad, baked beans, bread, onion, pickles and dessert. Dinners can be picked up at the church parking lot 10681 N. Hwy 87, Orange, TX. KC offers Lenten dinners The Knights of Columbus in Bridge City are once again offering fried catfish dinners for the Lenten season. The meals will be offered 10:30 a.m. - 1 p.m., Fridays through April 3 at the KC hall at 770 Ave. A next to St. Henry Catholic Church on Roundbunch. Dinners include fried catfish, fries, coleslaw and hush puppies for $7.00. Delivery is available for orders of 10 or more. Lenten dinners available at St. Therese Fish dinners will be available 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., Fridays during Lent, beginning this week at St. Therese Catholic Church in Orange. For $7.00, the meal includes fried fish, green beans, potato salad, bread and cake. Carry out or delivery for orders consisting of five dinners or more is available .
