Orange Herbert Allen Jerome Mullen, 78, of Orange , passed away Monday April 13, 2009 at the Heritage Duval Gardens Care Facility in Austin. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 15, in the Chapel of Dorman Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Bishop Bill Arnold with the Orange Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Interment will follow services in Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches and a gathering of family and friends will be from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Born on May 31, 1930 in Four Corners Newcastle, Wyo. to Joseph Jerome Mullen and Jesse Alice Harr, he resided in Orange since 1999 and was a member of the Orange Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Mullen worked as an aircraft sheet metal specialist for Civil Service at the Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City and was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Mr. Mullen is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Colleen McGinnis Mullin.
He is survived by his stepdaughter, Celeste Blankenship of Cedar Park and his brother, J. G. “Dod” Mullen of Solomon, Kan.
