Tell the troops thank you Xerox is making it possible and very easy to tell troops in Iraq “Thank You.” Go to http://www.LetsSayThanks.com.

You can pick out a thank you card.

Xerox will print and send it to a soldier that is currently serving in Iraq.

You can’t pick out who gets it, but it will go to a member of the armed services.

It is free and it only takes a second.

It’s a wonderful way to say thank you.

Nat’l Guard nominations Texas National Guard and Reserve members and their families have four weeks left to nominate their supportive employers for the 2010 Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award, the U.S. government’s highest honor given to employers for their outstanding support of employees serving in the National Guard and Reserve.

The nomination season closes Jan. 18.

As the nomination period reaches its halfway mark, 76 nominations have been received from National Guard and Reserve members from Texas.

The state is one of the top 10 states to submit nominations for the award, indicating strong support by the state’s employers for its citizen soldiers.

With almost one-half of the U.S. military comprised of the National Guard and Reserve and the ongoing global operations, U.S. employers play an increasingly important role in their support for employees who serve in the military.

Nominations will be accepted at http://www.FreedomAward.mil through Jan. 18.

All award nominees will be announced in mid winter 2010 and the 15 recipients will be announced in early summer.
