Easter Egg Hunts

First Baptist-Orange First Baptist Church of Orange, along with the Preschool/Children’s Ministry Team will host its annual Easter egg hunt at 2 p.m.

April 3 on church property about three miles north of Interstate 10 on Martin Luther King Drive.

The event is planned for all children of the Orange community – toddler through sixth grade.

In addition to the hunt, activities include face-painting, bounce houses, crafts, snack time and entertainment time.

Children might find special eggs during the hunt that will include prizes.

Also, attendance prizes will be awarded, such as a DVD player, a Nintendo DS Lite and Toys R Us gift cards.

Event co-coordinators are Chris and Christi Kovatch.

Trinity/St. Mark Lutheran Trinity and St. Mark Lutheran Churches will host a community wide Easter egg hunt from noon -2 p.m. on April 3. The hunt is for all ages; children, teens and adults. The churches will offer lunch at noon; crafts, stories and games start at 12:30 p.m .; the egg hunt begins at 1:30 followed by a Golden Egg Race. Festivities will be on Trinity Church grounds, 1819 16th St. in Orange. Trinity will offer Good Friday worship at noon April 2 and Easter services at 11 a.m. Easter Sunday.

McDonald Memorial Baptist McDonald Memorial Baptist Church will have an Easter egg hunt and free picnic beginning at 11 a.m. April 3 in Alford-Seale Park next to West Orange City Hall on Western Avenue. Children are reminded to bring baskets or bags. The free lunch will follow the egg hunt. Bring your lawn chairs. For more information, call the church office at 883-3974.

“Eggstravaganza” at Liberty Baptist Liberty Baptist Church will hold the annual Eggstravaganza on Saturday, April 3 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. This will take place in the covered pavilion at the Bridge City/Orangefield Community Center located at 105 Parkside Drive, Bridge City. This will be a great day of fun for the entire family including  an age appropriate egg scramble, games, moonwalk, delicious food and prizes. The public is invited. The Eggstravaganza is sponsored by Liberty Baptist Church which is located at 2717 W. Roundbunch in Bridge City. For information, contact the church office at 409-735-8721.
