Airboat tours return to area

The Greater Orange Area Chamber of Commerce was joined on Monday, May 17 by the Port Arthur Chamber of Commerce and The Chamber/Southwest Louisiana, to celebrate the grand re-opening of Louisiana Airboat Inc. and Cypress Lake RV Park.

Airboat rides are one of the most unique ways to experience the Blue Elbow Swamp, the Sabine River, and the surrounding estuaries. The airboat tours have been a long standing tradition in Orange and an exciting adventure for locals and tourists alike. Both Southeast Texas and Southwest Louisiana are glad to see the tours re-open.

Not only do they offer fun rides during the day and night, but they also build the airboats on site. Their boats have been sent all over the United States. Several custom order airboats have been sold locally. They are currently working on finishing an airboat that will seat approximately fifteen people so that they can accommodate larger groups on the tours.

Cypress Lake RV Park is also on the same location. It’s a scenic place to set up your RV or tent. They have onsite laundry and bathrooms with showers for the convenience of their campers. There are multiple docks and plenty of shore line to fish on.
