Church brings "Hope" to Uganda

St. Stephen Episcopal Church in Beaumont will share pictures, stories and native crafts from the “Runners for Hope” Uganda mission team at 6 p.m., Wednesday, July 28, in Broce Hall.

Everyone in the community is invited to dinner.

The group that traveled to Africa last month to deliver goods, including more than 1,000 pairs of shoes, to children in Uganda will give a presentation.

The “Runners for Hope” mission grew from the friendship between a track star at Lamar University from Uganda and a member of the St. Stephen congregation.

This free program is presented as part of the St. Stephen “Summer Soul Food” series.
