New Mother’s Day Out program and church briefs

Mother's Day Out

Faith United Methodist Church begins a new Mother's Day Out program Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m.-1:45 p.m. starting Aug. 24 – designed to provide children between the ages of 14 months to 4 years a quality first learning experience. Weekly activities will consist of art, circle time, stories, music, indoor play and socializing with new friends. Enrollment packets are available at the church from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays. For more information, call (409) 886-5991.

Singing, praise service

Family Worship Center of Orange will host an old-time religion service on Saturday, Aug. 7, at 7 p.m., featuring a traditional Pentecostal service with testimonies and special singing. Pastor Tony Story will speak. Food and fellowship will follow.

revival begins Sunday

revival services will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 8, at the Apostolic Pentecostal Church (near Texas 62 at Interstate 10) with Evangelist Robert Jackson of Jackson, Tenn.

Services will continue nightly throughout the week. Jackson is from the Orange area and invites his friends to the revival, which will feature special singing by various groups. Refreshments and a fellowship period will follow all services. Leo Anderson is church pastor.
