Major League scouts to attend BC Academy

Hitter’s Inc. Baseball Academy in Bridge City will be hosting a Junior College Coaches Camp 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., Dec. 20. Camp will include a morning session of drills, instruction and a one on one workout with staff members from various junior college programs from Texas and Louisiana. Afternoon session will include a game at Bridge City High School whereby these coaches will be able to evaluate each player on the field. Camp is limited to 36 players who will be graduating in 2011 thru 2014. Only a few spots are remaining.

Major League scouts attending are Houston Astros, Colorado Rockies, Atlanta Braves, Chicago Cubs, and the MLB Scouting Bureau. Junior College Programs committed to attending: National Powers, San Jacinto JC and LSU-Eunice, also Wharton JC, Baton Rouge JC, Southeastern CC (Iowa) and Angelina College.

National Champion LSU-Eunice Head Coach Jeff Willis will be the guest speaker.

This is the first of a long list of events to be conducted at Hitter’s Inc. in Bridge City. Players are welcome from Southeast Texas, Southwest Louisiana and the greater Houston area.
