Jim Bull, 86, of Orange, died Saturday, January 8, at Promise Hospital in Nederland.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 11, at North Orange Baptist Church with the Rev. Lynn Ashcraft officiating. Burial will follow at Autumn Oaks Memorial Park in Orange.
Visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Monday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Mansfield, Arkansas on Feb. 22, 1924, Jim was the son of Fred and Louise (Vest) Bull. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII on the USS Nashville. Jim was an avid quail hunter, enjoyed fishing, trotlining and was a huge fan of the Arkansas Razorbacks to the very end. He loved working in his garden and enjoyed giving away his tomatoes. Jim was a loving father and grandfather and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jimmye McKinney Bull; grandson, Stephen “Bubba” Bull, Jr.; brothers, Nolton and Bob Bull; and sister, Mary Ellen Taylor.
Jim is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Harold and Ramona Bull and Stephen and Debbie Bull, all of Orange.
He is also survived by his grandchildren, Misti Brezina and husband, Mike of Cypress; Kristi Demler of League City; Jason Bull and wife, Tiffany of Orange; Jaclynn Wallace and husband Kevin of Orange; great-grandchildren, Emily and Andrew Brezina, Blake and Brandon Demler, Taylor and Jordin Bull; and brothers, Bill Bull of Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma and Jerry Bull of Pasadena.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Jason Bull, Mike Brezina, Andrew Brezina, Kevin Wallace, Jim Rawls, Ben Kuebodeaux and Kenny Gilstrap. Honorary Pallbearers will be Charles Wilcox, George McKinney, Blake Demler and Brandon Demler.
