Toxicology report returned on driver in fatal accident of sisters

According to The Texas Department of Public Safety, toxicology results for Amanda Lewis show her blood alcohol level was over the legal limit when she drove her 2000 Dodge Durango into an oncoming Lincoln Towncar killing Cristin and Kate Grubbs Nov. 6, 2010.

The report showed a combination of drugs and alcohol in Amanda Lewis’ blood at the time of the fatal crash. Trooper Shipley of Orange County will file his case report with the Orange County District Attorney’s Office, which will include two counts of Intoxication Manslaughter against Amanda Lewis.

Intoxication Manslaughter is a Second Degree Felony in Texas and carries a possible sentence of 2-20 years in prison with a fine not to exceed $10,000.
