LC-M athlete chosen for all star football team

Randy Crouch, Little Cypress-Mauriceville’s athletic director announced that Zack Sonnier has been selected to play on the Texas High School Coaches Association’s all star football team on July 26. Sonnier is a member of the football, basketball, and track and field athlete for the Bears.

Sonnier will play on the South team, and will play the game in Cowboy Stadium in Arlington.

Sonnier is senior class president and active in the student council. He hasn’t decided which college he would like to attend, but is leaning toward Northwestern State in Natchitoches, La.

“Zack has been an outstanding player for us for two years and is very deserving of this. It is an honor for him and the school to be chosen for the All Star Team.”, said Coach Crouch.

Sonnier said, “I am so excited. It is such an honor to be considered with the best football players in all of Texas.”

Sonnier is the first LCM student ever to be chosen for this prestigious football team.
