Sandra Kathleen "Thompson" Laidlaw

Sandra Kathleen "Thompson" Laidlaw passed away at the age of 58 at Methodist Hospital West in Houston, on May 3. She lived on Bodden Town Road in Breakers, Grand Cayman Islands, BWI. Sandra was born in Port Arthur, on June 4,1952. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School and Port Arthur College where she studied bookkeeping. She moved to the Cayman Islands in 1983 and lived a happy life with her family and many friends.

Visitation will be held on May 26, from 5:30pm -7:30pm at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Final Services will be the week of June 6, pending final determination, in Grand Cayman, BWI.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Leslie and Enid Thompson, and one brother Dave Thompson.

Surviving her passing are: Husband Albert Laidlaw of Grand Cayman; brother Denzil Thompson and Charlotte Walker of Nederland; nephew Sean Thompson, wife Stacy and their children Huntr and Kai of Bridge City; niece Sheyna Kobty, husband Tariq and their children Jordan, Caden, Leland, and Madden of Arlington; niece Angie Kloesel, husband Chris, and daughter Hanna of Katy; aunt Maizie Dina of Seminole, Florida and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in Texas, Florida and the Cayman Islands.

It is an immeasurable loss for the family and all whose lives she touched. The world will be a lesser place without her. It takes time for those cherished memories to hold more peace and less grief. She will rest in peace in the beautiful island she loved so dearly.
