Orange firefighters respond to house fire

Firefighters from the City of Orange responded to a house fire at 302 Schley at 1:30 pm today. First arriving crews reported heavy fire showing from the corner room of the residence.

Spectators on the scene told firefighters that two children could be trapped inside, but after a search of the home, the children were not located. The children were found safe at a neighbor’s home.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. No injuries were reported and the family was assisted by the local chapter of the Red Cross.
