Hometown News For Orange County, Texas
J is for June and jalapeños, yes it’s HOT! I wanted to share this wonderful appetizer dish with you that I recently discovered at a family reunion. You may use the canned jalapeño peppers or the fresh.
20 jalapeños
8 oz. cream cheese
16 oz. Jimmy Dean Sausage (or your favorite ground sausage)
Seasoning to taste
Cook sausage in pan, breaking it up and chopping it into small pieces. Meanwhile, wash peppers and cut into halves. Remove the seeds inside of the peppers or you can leave the seeds in for extra spice. After the sausage is browned well, add all of the cream cheese and your seasoning. Stuff the peppers with the mixture and put it into a 350 degree oven. Cook for 15-20 minutes. Happy eating!
