James Schindler Malcolm

James Schindler Malcolm, 77, of Orange, died Monday, Aug. 22, at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, at First United Methodist Church in Orange with the Rev. John W. Warren officiating.

Visitation will begin at noon prior to the service at the church. Cremation will follow at Claybar Haven of Rest Crematory.

Born in Kimberly, Wisconsin on Jan. 24, 1934, James was son of Alex and Esther (Schindler) Malcolm. He served in the U.S. Air Force, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. James was very active in the choir and was a member of the Golden Kiwanis.

Preceded in death by his parents and Peggy Malcolm, James is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Jamie and Alma Malcolm of Spring; daughter and son-in-law, Karry and Darryl Craus of Village Mills; son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Annette Malcolm of Orange; and son, David Malcolm of Frisco.

He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jonathan, Sean, and Chloe Craus, George Rodriguez, Emily, Peggy and Jimmy Malcolm; sister, Jane VanGeffen of Wisconsin; brother, Al Malcolm of Phoenix, Az; and special friend, Betty James of Orange.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 502 N. Sixth Street, Orange, Texas 77630.
