Pistol stolen from residence during burglary

Orange police were dispatched to the 1500 block of W. Hart Ave. Thursday morning in reference to a burglary.

Upon arrival, officer Tim Pruitt met with the victim, who rents the residence.

The victim told police that on Wednesday, between 7:00 am and 2:30 pm, he had left the residence unattended. He also said the front door may have been left unsecured, as there were no signs of forced entry to the residence.

Just before calling police, the man noticed that a 9mm pistol was missing from the residence. The make, model and serial number on the auto-load pistol were unknown.

The victim said he would like to press charges for burglary if a suspect was found.
