An Orange couple was recently held at gunpoint inside their residence.
According to reports from the Orange Police Department, on Thanksgiving Day, officers were dispatched to 1200 block of Jayway in reference to a robbery.
The victims of the robbery, Dunisha Baker and Nathan Allison, reported three suspects pushed their way into the residence attempting to rob them. The suspects were wearing bandanas and stopped first to confront a person in the front yard. They then pushed the 41-year-old man into the house and assaulted him.
No items were taken, but some spilled marijuana was found by police. It is believed the incident was drug related.
No arrests have been made.
In other police business, two residences were burglarized and the suspects took video games systems and electronics.
According to reports, police were dispatched Friday to the 500 block of Dupont Drive in reference to a burglary. They were informed by the victim, Albert Lewis, 36, someone had unlawfully entered his residence through an open window in the back of the house. He informed the officer he had been away for several days and returned to find his house had been burglarized. It was reported a desktop computer and multiple video games were taken.
Another case of burglary was reported on Sunday. Police were dispatched to 111 Pine Street in reference burglary of a habitation. The victim, Cedrick Blackwell, informed the officer that while they were away from the residence for less than two hours, someone had taken from his living room a backpack containing a game system, red controller and hook-up equipment. He stated when he left the residence he had locked the front door, but when he returned, it was unlocked. He added he does wish to prosecute anyone involved in the case.
An Orange resident also reported a game system was taken from his residence. But, the suspect also stole two firearms.
According to reports, officers were called to the 2100 block of Treemont Street. Upon arrival they met with the resident, Tony Dallas, who informed them he had received a call from his daughter about a bathroom broken window at the house. Upon further investigation, it was discovered about $2,000 worth of electronics and firearms were stolen. Taken was a 26 inch flat screen TV, 32 inch flat screen TV, iPad, 35 mm camera, a .25 automatic firearm,.40 caliber semi-automatic firearm, .22 caliber firearm and a snub nose .38 caliber firearm.
Thieves were not restricted to residences and broke into vehicle as well.
Included in the list of reports from the weekend, was a 2009 Honday Odessey where a Garmin GPS was taken from the glove box.
According to reports, the vehicle was parked in the driveway of a residence located in the 1900 block of Walnut Street. The 22-year-old victim, Amber Wrinkle, reported to police shortly before she called them she had discovered her vehicle was unlocked. However, there were no signs of forced entry.
