LCM's Howlett signs with Texas Lutheran

Little Cypress-Mauriceville Bear football’s offense and defensive lineman, Tyler Howlett, signed with Texas Lutheran University in Seguin. Howlett’s academic scholarship starts at a base of $15,000 with the opportunity for an increase, which is dependent on results of a test that he will take later this spring.

Howlett’s 20-4A stats include a 2010 Offensive Line Honorable Mention, the 2011 and 2012 All-District Teams on both the Offensive and Defensive Lines. Besides All-District Team honors during the 2012 season, he was named to the Beaumont Enterprise Super Gold Team’s Offensive Line, the KOGT First Team Offensive Line, and the Orange Leader First Team Offensive Line.
