Louise Granger Linscomb

Louise Granger Linscomb, 93, of Orange, passed away Friday, April 26, at Orange Villa. Funeral services will be 12:00 pm Sunday, April 28, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Lance Simon. Burial will follow at Nibletts Bluff in Vinton.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, Sunday at the funeral home.

Louise was born Aug. 18, 1919 to Joseph Claudis Granger and Dora Azalee Sonier Granger. On Aug. 28, 1939, Louise married the love of her life, Bentley Linscomb. They were married for 64 years before his death on Dec. 8, 2003. Together, Bentley and Louise raised two daughters, Patricia and Charlene. Louise was an active member of the Eastern Star organization and served at the local and state levels. She was a homemaker who loved sewing and was so talented that she made all the family’s clothing. Louise also taught Sunday School at her home church for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband and sister Lois Granger Gibson, and is survived by her daughters, Patricia Linscomb Corbello and husband, Ernie, Charlene Linscomb Middleton and husband, Chuck; grandchildren, Beverley Corbello Simon and husband, Lance, Brian Corbello and wife, Tammy, Marla Jo Rising Clancy and husband, Mike, Trina Marie Rising Mullis and husband, Jake; great-grandchildren, Zak Simon, Mallerie Simon, Jade Corbello, Jacob Corbello, Ryan Clancy, Aoife Clancy, and Jack Bentley Mullis.

Serving as pallbearers will be Brian Corbello, Jacob Corbello, Zak Simon, Earl Ray Evans, Terry Sonier, and Jerry Sonier. Honorary pallbearer is Alton Courmier.
