Jack Price, Jr., 84, of Orange, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 2, at Baptist Beaumont Hospital.
Funeral Service will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange, with the Rev. J.B. Prouse, and the Rev. Dutch Price officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens near Bridge City. Serving as Pallbearers will be Charlie Adams, Michael Price, Timmy Price, Chris Price, Joshua Armfield and Eric Adams.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home.
Born in Belle, WV on Feb. 5, 1929, Jack was the son of Roy Jackson Price, Sr. and Martha Margarite (Reber) Price. After 35 years, Jack retired from Allied Chemical in Orange as a Process Operator. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.
Jack enjoyed playing and singing music, golf and fishing. He was proud of bowling a perfect 300 game at Brown’s Bowling Alley in Orange. Jack was a kindhearted man who was always willing to give a helping hand to those in need. Jack never met a stranger.
Preceded in death by his wife, Nora Ellen Price in 1999, Jack is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Dutch and Peggy Price of Prairieville, La; daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Stevie Williams of Mauriceville; son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Lucie Price of Kingwood; and daughter and son-in-law, Marty and Charlie Adams of Silsbee.
Jack is also survived by his 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
His children would like to give a special thanks to the staff of Texas Home Health and Baptist Hospital in Beaumont for their care. They are also very grateful for the years of loving care and compassion shown to their father by Dr. Marty Rutledge and Dr. Leldon Sweet.
