Dorothy Mae “Dot” Landry, 75, of Orange, passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2013 in Houston.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 2pm Saturday, October 26, 2013, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Orange, Texas with Father Joseph Daleo officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery in Orange, Texas. Serving as Pallbearers will be her sons and son-in-law. Honorary Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
Visitation will be 5pm to 9pm, Friday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange with a Rosary recited at 7pm.
Born in Delcambre, Louisiana on October 15, 1938, Dot was the daughter of Eustac and Jeanne (Boullion) Comeaux. She was owner of Landry’s Furniture and Appliance and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and Catholic Daughters, Vinton Chapter. Dot loved to play bingo, eat crawfish and boiled crabs, and listen to her family’s Cajun band. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and was an excellent dancer.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Jeanette LeBlanc, Pat Ledet, Roy Comeaux, and Diane Beard.
Dot is survived by her husband, of 57 years, Warren J. Landry of Orange; children, Donna Harper and husband, Larry, Warren (Bubba) Landry, Jr.
and wife, Sonda all of Orange, Chris Landry and wife, Judy of Vinton, Todd Landry and wife, DaWanna of Bridge City, Troy Landry and wife, Mary of Mauriceville, Nick Landry and wife, Joannah of Kingwood; grandchildren, Ashly Alonzo, Amanda Van Metre, Alaina Skelton, Whitney Yamada, Trey Landry, Greg Turbeville, Justin Landry, C.J. Landry, Malari Landry, Paeton Landry, Shane Hanks, Chad Hanks, Taylor Landry, Emily Landry, Evan Landry, Jackson Landry, Clayton Landry, Julian Landry; 14 great-grandchildren with 2 on the way; and sister, Gaynelle LaPointe of Richwood, Texas.
