Christopher Anthony Shull

Christopher Anthony Shull, 39, of DeRidder, La., passed from this life Tuesday, March 18, in Houston.

Chris started his career as a corrections officer for Stiles Prison Unit, then Phelps Correctional Center in Beauregard Parish. He then became a patrol deputy for BPSO.

Those left to cherish his memory, are his mother, Cindy Shull, of Bon Wier; father, Duane Jones, and wife Joy, of Port Arthur; girlfriend, Katie Sweat, of Elizabeth, La.; uncle, Chris Humble, and wife Tessa , of Little Cypress; nephews, Jordan and Chase; niece, Brianna, and his aunts.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Nancy Humble; grandfather, Durwood Shull, and grandmother, Annie Ruth Shull.

Visitation will be held Sunday, March 23, from 6:00 pm until 10:00 pm, at First United Pentecostal Church in DeRidder.

Funeral service will be Monday, March 24, at 11:00 am, at First United Pentecostal Church. Burial will follow at Cooper Cemetery in DeRidder, with Bro. Jim Cheever, and Chaplain Alan Farquhar officiating.

Services are under the direction of Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder.
