Annie Lee Borel, 91, of Orange died October 8, peacefully at home with family.
Born in Orange, May 11, 1923, to Mack Isaac McLelland Trussell and Sarah Easter Poole Trussell, Mrs. Borel lived in Orange her entire life. She was a homemaker, wife, and one of the most wonderful mothers ever. She loved growing vegetables and flowers, and she was always singing and smiling. She is the last surviving child of 21 children.
Preceded in death by Louis Albert Borel, husband, and sons Arnold Borel and Vernon Borel.
Survivors include Arthur and Marie Borel, Danney and Shelley Borel, Delores and Bruce Skinner, Ricky and Bonnie Borel, Bobby and Gwen Borel, Nancy and Jeff Matthews, and Albert Borel, eighteen grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Douglas Borel, Andy Borel, Eric Borel, Charles Matthews, Ricky Borel Jr. and Derek Borel, honorary pallbearer will be Austin Borel.
Services will be held at Claybar Funeral Home Saturday, Oct. 11, at 10:00 a.m. Officiating will be the Rev. Ronnie Hennigan. Burial will be at Hillcrest cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6:00-9:00 p.m., at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
