Beaumont City Council to proclaim LU Homecoming Day

Get Your Red On – Lamar University will celebrate ties that bind campus and community as students, alumni, government leaders, businesses and individuals don Cardinal colors during the week of Oct. 27 - Nov. 1 for Homecoming 2014.

A Lamar delegation will visit the Beaumont City Council at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14, to promote Homecoming Week 2014 and receive a proclamation from Beaumont Mayor Becky Ames proclaiming Nov. 1, as “Lamar University Homecoming Day.” The Cardinals will host the Huskies of Houston Baptist University at 6:00 p.m. Nov. 1 in Provost Umphrey Stadium.
