Mark Lawrence McCall, 59, of Orange, passed away Saturday, Octo. 11, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas in Orange.
Born on Sept. 27, 1955 in Orange, to Travis C. McCall, Jr. and Pynkie Lua ( Bourgeois) McCall. He was a lifelong resident of Southeast Texas, and lived briefly in Austin. He was of the Catholic faith, and worked as a carpenter and other jobs in the construction industry. Mark will be remembered as a hard working man who enjoyed going deer hunting with his friends, for his generosity beyond measure, and for spending time with his family.
Mark is preceded in death by his father; sister, Marion McCall Thomen; paternal grandparents, John and Faye Hendrix and Travis C. McCall, Sr., and his maternal grandparents, Cleophis and Mary Lou Bourgeois.
Those who will most cherish his memory are his mother, Pynkie L. McCall of Orange; son, Justin McCall of Dorena, Or .; brothers, Clinton McCall and wife, Becky of Orange, Patrick McCall and wife, Denise of Orange, Brian McCall and wife Ramona of Eugene, Or., Timothy McCall and wife, Donna of Round Rock, Chris McCall and wife, Cathy of Spring, Gary McCall and wife, Chom Sun of Fairbanks, Ak., and Philip McCall and wife, Norma of Orange. Mark is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
A Mass of the Resurrection to honor Mark's life will be at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, Oct. 16, at St. Mary's Catholic Church on Cherry Street in Orange. Officiating will be Father Joseph P. Daleo, pastor of the Church.
Cremation will follow services ,and private interment will be carried out later.
A gathering of Mark's family and friends for a time of reflection and sharing will be from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. Wednesday at Dorman Funeral Home in Orange.
