Brittany Sheppard

Brittany Elaine Sheppard, 30, of Orangefield, passed away Nov. 15, at her home.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am, Wednesday, Nov. 19, at First Baptist Church in Orangefield. Officiating will be teh Rev. Ed Rawls of Silver Oaks Baptist Church in Orangefield. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.

Visitation will be from 5:00pm-9:00 pm, Tuesday Nov. 18, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.

Brittany was born in Port Arthur, May 30, 1984, daughter of Rickey Glenn Sheppard and Denise Diane (VanBenthuysen) Sheppard. Brittany was a member of Silver Oaks Baptist Church. She loved photography, going to the Renaissance Festival, arts and crafts, and especially writing in her daily journals. She enjoyed spending time with children and teaching them. Brittany also had a love of animals, but her favorite animal was her service dog, Watson.

She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Jeanette Bullion; great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Austin, Ursula VanBenthuysen, Mr. and Mrs. George Sheppard, and Mr. and Mrs. A.A. Scales.

She is survived by her parents, Rickey and Denise Sheppard of Orangefield; grandparents, Doris and Joseph VanBenthuysen of Orangefield, Arthur Glenn Sheppard of Orangefield; step-grandfather, Ronnie Bullion of Orangefield; brother, Scott Sheppard and wife, Sarah of Kingwood; sister, Wyntter Nations and husband, Micah of College Station; nieces, Kaylee, Morgan, and Addyson Sheppard; aunts and uncles, Rod Sheppard and wife, Mary Ann of Beaumont, Todd Sheppard and wife, Cisca of Port Arthur, Joseph William VanBenthuysen III and wife, Jenean of Orangefield, and James Threadgill and wife, Terri of Beaumont; and many cousins.
