Robert Walter

Robert “Bob” Esco Walter, 72, of Moulton and formerly of Orange, passed away Nov. 14, at U.T. Southwestern Hospital in Dallas.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 19, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Orange. Officiating will be Father Francis Conroy. Entombment will follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Orange.

Visitation will be from 5:00 pm-9:00 p.m., on Tuesday at the funeral home with a vigil and rosary beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Born in Abilene, on July 8, 1942, he was the son of Leo Basil and Sybil (Robertson) Walter. Robert was a member of the Knights of Columbus and had worked as a chemist at DuPont.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Sybil Walter and is survived by his wife, Josephine Marie Schulte Walter of Moulton; children, Laurie Walter of Moulton, Robert Walter and wife, Meg, of Benton, KY, Deborah Hanus and husband, Larry of Carrollton; grandchildren, Joseph “Joey” Walter, William “Will” Hanus, and Annemarie Hanus; and his brother, Leo Walter of North Richland Hills.

Serving as pallbearers will be Joey Walter, Will Hanus, Bob Rapp, Butch Schulte, Buddy Schulte, George Thompson, Larry Hanus and Randy Schulte. The Knights of Columbus will serve as honorary pallbearers.
