Paula Veazey Wyatt, 85, of Orange passed away Saturday, Nov. 15, at Baptist Hospital in Orange.
She was born Jan. 2, 1929 in Pecan Island, Louisiana to Elizabeth (Maier) and Numa Veazey.
She has been a resident of the Orange area for 78 plus years and was a member of Old First Orange Baptist Church.
She was a nurse for many years in the Golden Triangle, working at many of the hospitals in the area; which was her true calling as a caregiver, especially doting and loving her grandchildren.
Her last place of employment were with Endoscopy Center of Southeast Texas.
Paula enjoyed going dancing, reading, cooking and spoiling her dogs.
She loved to go to her grandchildren's games and supporting them.
Paula was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend who will be missed dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James L. Wyatt; daughter, Linda Wyatt; great grandchild, Evan Maurice Villadsen; sisters, Adele Veazey, Stella Fuschak; her twin brother, Paul Veazey, and brothers, Lanas Veazey, Amos Veazey.
She is survived by her daughters, Molly Truvil of Orange, Ramona Weems and husband, Burke of Beaumont; sons, Scott Wyatt and wife, Renee of Orange; grandchildren, Chris Villadsen, Ryan Villadsen, Allison Turner, Mason Weems, Mitchel Wyatt, Marissa Wyatt and Misty Tregre. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
A memorial service will be held by the family Thursday, Nov. 20, at 2:00 pm at Old First Orange Baptist Church, Orange. Cremation arrangements were entrust to Dorman Funeral Home.
