LCM's Team Force taking orders for annual fund raiser

Little Cypress-Mauriceville High School’s Team Force, LCM’s Special Olympics team, is now taking orders for their annual cheese log fundraiser. The cheddar and jalapeno cheese logs are approximately one pound each and cost only $7. Orders may be placed by calling the Life Skills classroom at 886-5821, ext. 1560, or emailing Terrie Parker at [email protected].

All proceeds are used for the academic and sports activities for LCM Team Force. Academic activities include community-based instruction, such as grocery shopping, accessing community events, and generalizing social skills in and around our environment. Sports activities include costs associated with participating in and traveling to Special Olympics competitions. For example, Dec. 11 – 13, the unified flag football team will travel to Baylor University to compete in the State games. The bowling team will compete in Beaumont on Dec. 13.

Funds used help teach and maintain the important life lessons gained through the students’ participation in these types of events.
