Welcome Week, Jan. 20-23, is four days of activities in the lobby of the Student Center, featuring free entertainment and snacks.
“Student Activities and Student Government Association sponsor events and activities on campus to welcome back returning students, or just say hello to new students,” said Claire Thomason, Student Activities Director.
Tuesday, SGA Giveaway Boxes, a “student survival kit,” will be available, along with popcorn. Wednesday, flip books made from short videos are the prizes, with donuts and juice early followed by popcorn. Thursday, it’s hot chocolate and cookies along with an 11 a.m. performance by the Commercial Music Department.
A Seahawk Spirit Day and Basketball Autograph session on Friday wraps up the week with members of the school’s basketball team on hand, not to mention cake.
“We offer a wide variety of entertainment opportunities for students to participate in between classes,” Thomason said. “This Welcome Week gives them a taste of our Seahawk Spirit.”
