Orange County Health Inspector James Scales made the following inspections on area businesses from Jan. 1 through Jan. 15:

Papa John's Pizza, 2305 MacArthur Dr., Orange - Storage racks above sinks are rusted and need to be repaired/replaced. Score - 97

Wendy's #50, 3113 Edgar Brown Dr., Orange - Ceiling tiles found sitting on top of ice machine; old foods left on the vegetable slicer; storage shelves are rusted and clean dishes are being stored, need to be repaired. Score - 94

Sonic Drive Inn #5783, 2210 Hwy. 62, McLewis - Floors, equipment and storage shelves throughout restaurant need to be cleaned of old foods/dirt. Score - 97

Hog's Heaven Mobile Unit, Orange - No score, pre-opening inspection.

Smoker's Express, 1050 16th St., Orange - Store name and address are needed on all bags of ice sold at store; towels are needed inside restroom; slight mold was found on Slushi machine. Score - 90

Bridge City Middle School, 300 Bower St., Bridge City - Score 100

Kwick Stop #4, 3110 16th St., Orange - Pulled several expired foods from shelves; motor oil being stored above pet foods; floors throughout and ceiling inside walk-in cooler need to be cleaned of dirt and dust; back storage room needs to be cleaned and organized; storage inside restroom needs to be organized. Score - 90

Taco Bell #2680, 835 Texas Ave., Bridge City - Floors throughout need to be cleaned of old foods and dirt; slight mold was found on drink dispensers. Score - 97

California Corn Dog Stand/Walmart, 795 Texas Ave., Bridge City - Floors under counter needs to be cleaned of old foods/dirt. Score 97

Moreno's Mexican Food Mobile Roadside Vendor, Orange - No score, pre-opening inspection.

Driver and Hand Food Stand Mobile Unit - No score, pre-opening inspection.

Dollar General #12697, 1752 Hwy. 12, Vidor - Shelves inside milk cooler need to be cleaned of old milk., Score - 97

Novrozsky's Restaurant, 1035 N. Main St., Vidor - Raw chicken being stored above raw onions and shrimp; front cooler holding water - needs repair; floors and equipment need to be cleaned of old foods; back door needs to be resealed. Score - 90

Spindletop Restaurant, 1480 W. Freeway Blvd., Vidor - Hair restraints needed; water turned off at hand-washing station; pipes at the hand-washing station needs to be repaired; front panel missing on front of ice machine - need to be repaired; air vents and ceiling tiles missing throughout - need to replace; floors and equipment need to be cleaned of old foods; need to discard all broken and unused equipment; need to hang mops up to air dry and back panel on reach in cooler and cover for the floor drain in kitchen are needed. Score - 86

Little Caesar's Pizza, 2421 16th St., Orange - Employee found eating pizza in back storage storage area; and pizza found sitting on storage racks for dry goods; employee drinks without lid and straw; improper jewelry and fingernails; employees using cell phones; no certified food manager on staff; floors and equipment need to be cleaned of old foods. More cleaning needs to be done and no cell phone usage. Score - 90

Cypress Plaza #1, 7014 N. Hwy. 87, Orange - Store name and address are needed on all bags of ice sold at store; hot water was not a proper temperature. Score - 92

Dollar Tree #1193, 170 Strickland Dr., Orange - Pulled several dented cans from the shelves; back walk-in freezer door not closing completely - need to repair; also noted that more cleaning and organizing is needed in the back store room. Score - 93

Family Dollar #4946, 1540 Strickland Dr., Orange - Several dented cans found throughout store; found freezer had ice buildup on foods inside freezer - need to repair. Score - 93

North Star Children's Center, 5830 N. Main St., Vidor - Need to clean inside cabinets - especially under sink; light shield needed. Score - 97

Market Basket #4, 3709 N. 16th St., Orange - Floors in back storage room, inside milk cooler and walk-in freezers need to be cleaned of old dirt and trash; equipment light fixtures and equipment inside meat department are rusted and need to be repaired or replaced. Score - 97

Market Basket Deli #4, 3709 N. 16th St., Orange - Buckets of seasonings found sitting on floors; storage racks rusted and need to be replaced or repaired; floors (baseboards) need to be cleaned and several old pans found damaged and need to be replaced. Score - 93

CVS Pharmacy #6381, 2425 N. 16th St., Orange - Shelves inside milk cooler need to be cleaned of old milk. Score - 97

Texas Food Store, 305 Burton Ave., Orange - Pulled several (2013-2014) expired foods from shelves; lots of spider webs were found inside storage room; mold was found on Slushi machines and outside of the storage cabinets need to be cleaned of old foods. Score - 90

Kid's Castle, 100 Parkside Place Dr., Bridge City - Score 100

Get-N-G0, 1150 Texas Ave., Bridge City - Store name needs to be on all bags of ice sold at store; chemicals are being stored above paper goods; slime was found inside ice machine. Score - 90

Dairy Queen, 11785 N. Hwy. 62, Mauriceville - Area above grill/fryers needs to be cleaned of old grease; toaster needs to be repaired. Score - 97

Valero #377, 7523 IH-10 E., Orange - Area under milk inside walk-in cooler needs to be cleaned. Score - 97
