Joyce Kervin

Joyce Day Kervin, 80, of Orange, passed away Jan. 15, at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm, Monday, Jan. 19, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be the Rev. Lynn Ashcraft. Burial will follow at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00pm-9:00pm, Sunday, Jan. 18 at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Born in Manning, Aug. 2, 1934, she was the daughter of Luther Oscar Day and Mae Havard Day. Joyce was an avid collector, and also enjoyed working with floral arrangements and refurbishing furniture. She loved animals, was a loving and caring person, and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; four brothers and two sisters.

She leaves behind her husband, Jessie Kervin; children, Connie Brashear (Johnny), Brenda Thomas (David), and Susan Trahan (John), all of Orange; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Herman Day, Raymond Day, and Harold W. Day and sister, Mildred Turner. She also leaves behind her beloved dogs, Daisy and Penny.

Serving as pallbearers will be Cody Conway, Joseph Trahan, Rusty Trahan, Michael Trahan, Larry Shelton, Cade Reeves, and Charlie Thomas.
