Lanora Jean Taylor, 75, of Orangefield, passed away Jan. 16, at her home.
Funeral Service will be held Thursday, Jan. 22, at 1:00 pm, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City with the Rev. Clifton Rankin officiating. Burial will follow at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 am, Thursday at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.
Born in Shelby County, April 5, 1939, Lanora was the daughter of Roy E. Franks and Eunice (Ramsey) Franks. She worked at Entex for over 40 years and was a member of First Baptist Church of Orangefield. Lanora was a loving mother and sister and would always sacrifice her own needs to help others. She was very active in her church and was always willing to help anyone without expecting any sort of praise or recognition in return; her door was always open to anyone who needed her. Lanora was very soft spoken with a quiet, warm demeanor, and she was always such a pleasure to be around. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Bill Taylor; son Jason Taylor; and brother Billie Franks.
She is survived by her son Joe Taylor; brothers Byron Franks and wife Jenean and Royce Franks and wife Danna and her sister Aleen Grimes and husband Bob.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jimmy Grimes, David Grimes, Chris Sizemore, Danny Allen, and John Wagner.
