Franklin Zerko, Sr.

Franklin Delano Zerko, Sr., 75, of Orange, passed away March 15, at his home surrounded by his family. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m., Thursday, March 19, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 20, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Pastor Damon Bickham of First Baptist Church in Deweyville. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.

He Born in Colgate, Oklahoma, June 24, 1939, but has resided in Orange since 1942. Frank was a member of Old First Orange Baptist Church and Pipefitters Local #195. He also served in the U.S. Army from 1963-1965.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Peter Paul and Dovie Elizabeth (Prince) Zerko; brothers, James Zerko and Pete Zerko.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Nancy E. (Hobbs) Zerko of Orange; sons, Franklin “Del” Zerko, Jr. and wife, Kathleen of Vidor and Richard Mark Zerko and wife, Tammie of Orange; grandchildren, Morgan Zerko, Paige Zerko, Adam Zerko, Haley Zerko, and April Zerko; great-grandson, Ian Zerko; brothers, Ira Zerko and wife, Mary Ann, John Zerko and wife, Beverly and Eugene Zerko and wife, Linda and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s at 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105, Texas Childrens, or a charity of your choice.
