Lena Ann Lessard, 71, of Beaumont, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 15, at Harbor Hospice in Houston.
Born Aug. 28, 1943 in Orange, to Willie J. Moore and Hazel (Vincent) Moore, she lived in Beaumont for the last few years and lived in Sorrento, Louisiana for over 30 years. Lena was of the Catholic faith and a homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting and visiting her family, she was an excellent cook and she always placed others before herself.
Lena is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth Lessard and her brother, Billy Moore.
Those who will most cherish her memory are her sons, Thomas Vilo and wife, Laurie of Orange and Terry Vilo and wife, Melissa of Orange; her daughter, Pamela Vilo Bourgeois and husband, Mark of Beaumont; step daughter, Emily Lessard of Houston; grandchildren, Lauren Daigle and husband, Andy, Taelor Vilo, Ryan Vilo and fiancée, Destiny Garza, Tyler Vilo and wife, Stephanie and Jordan Bourgeois; her great grandchildren, Aurora Vilo and Addyson Vilo. Lena is also survived by numerous members of her extended family.
Services to remember and honor Lena’s life will be at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, March 19, in the Chapel of Dorman Funeral Home in Orange with Father George Kindangen, officiating.
A gathering of Lena’s family and friends will be from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home with a Rosary/Wake Service to be held at 7:00 P.M. Lena’s family wishes to thank the Neuro Team at St. Luke’s Hospital; the Staff at Harbor Hospice in Houston, namely Shellie, Nelly, Tameka, Nicole and Jessica; friend from Harbor Hospice, Janice Collins and Father George Kindangen and Father Jose Mundadan.
