Paradise Waterpark offers Memorial weekend specials

Paradise Waterpark is offering a Memorial Day Weekend special that’s hard to beat.

“You can come to the waterpark and stay all day for just $12 per person,” said Pat Mossburg, who owns Paradise Waterpark as well as Paradise RV Park next door.

“We’ll be having drawings and giving away prizes on all three of those days,” she said. The waterpark features two, 110-foot-long slides; a big lazy river; and a large activity area with a dumping bucket, bubblers, smaller slides for children, a water tree, pull ropes and other activities.

The waterpark also has a beer garden, a snack stand and a gift shop.

Mossburg has owned and operated Paradise Waterpark for nine years, but she built a 43-site campground next door to it two years ago. The campground has a 37-acre catch and release lake as well as wooded areas for hiking and birdwatching. “People like the campground because it’s a family park,” Mossburg said, adding that she routinely draws families from the greater Houston and Louisiana areas. The waterpark and the campground are located on 250 acres of land. “We are right outside the Lumberton city limits,” Mossburg said.
