LCM CISD schools announce Meet the Teacher, Orientations

Little Cypress-Mauriceville High School will kick off Meet the Teacher and orientation week for the LCM District on Monday, August 17, with student orientations. All High School orientations will be held in the auditorium. Sophomores will meet at 9:00 a.m., juniors at 11:00 a.m., seniors at 2:00 p.m. and freshmen and their parents at 6:30 p.m. Students will not receive their schedules until parents have registered them online.

On Aug. 18, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. in the cafeteria, Mauriceville Middle School will have staff and computers available to assist parents who have not registered their students online. Students will not receive their schedules until parents complete the online registration process. Meet the Teacher, for those who are registered, will be on Aug. 20, from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m.

On Aug. 18, Little Cypress Junior High students whose parents have registered them through Parent Access can pick their schedules up any time between 4:30 and 6:00 p.m. in the cafeteria. Sixth grade students and parents will meet in the cafeteria from 6:00 to 6:30 p.m. Seventh and eighth grade boys in athletics will meet in Bates Gym from 6:00 to 6:30 p.m. Parents who still need to register their children online will have the opportunity to do so between the hours of 4:30 and 6:00 p.m. on Aug. 18.

On Aug. 20, Little Cypress Intermediate and Little Cypress Elementary students, whose parents have registered online, will receive their class assignments and may meet their teachers. LCI’s Meet the Teacher is any time between 4:00 and 6:00 p.m. LCE’s time is between the hours of 5:00 and 7:00 p.m. These are both come and go events. Parents who have not registered their children online will have the opportunity to do so during these times.

August 20 is also the date that Mauriceville Elementary students who are registered online may meet their teachers. Students and parents are welcome any time between the hours of 1:00 and 4:00 p.m. Parents who have not yet registered their children through Parent Access may do so during this time frame.
