NWS expecting wet week

The National Weather Service is expecting a wet week coming up, with daily scattered showers and thunderstorms. Rain totals over the next seven days will range from half an inch in southeast Texas to two inches in south central Louisiana. No severe weather is expected.

Temperatures will run a little above normal, with lows in the 70s and highs in the lower 90s.

In the tropics, Tropical Storm Fred will pose no threat to us. A cluster of thunderstorms moving off the coast of Africa has a chance to develop into a tropical system this weekend or next week, but will not be an issue for us in the next seven days.
