Commissioners to discuss OCEDC contract

The Orange County Commissioners will discuss and possibly act on a contract between the Orange County Economic Development Corporation and the county until the end of the year when they meet at 2 p.m.

on Monday, September 18 in the Commissioners' Courtroom of the Orange County Administration Building, 123 South 6th St. in Orange.

Commissioners will deliberate on the following agenda items: Accepting the contract between the OCEDC and Orange County through Dec. 31, 2015.

Deciding upon a nominee to the Orange County Appraisal District's Board of Directors.

Grant applications for approval to be funded by a CBDG On-Site Sewer Facility Project as recommended by the selection committee.

Accepting a Local Public Health System Grant for $71,426.

Proclamations will be read declaring October,, 2015 as National Long-Term Care Residents' Rights Month and another declaring the kickoff of the United Way Campaign for the months of September, October, and November, 2015 as United Way Months.

Starting at 9 a.m.

there will be public budget workshop session on Friday, September 18 in the Commissioners' Courtroom to review and discuss all aspects of the county's budget for fiscal year 2015/2016.

Immediately following, there will be another public workshop session to discuss and review the Reclassification Committee's decisions regarding some county employees being reclassified.
