OCEDC funding on commissioners' agenda

The Orange County Commissioners Court will consider funding for the Orange County Economic Development Corporation for the remainder of the year when they meet at 2 p.m. on the afternoon of Monday, September 28 in the Commissioners' Courtroom of the Orange County Administration Building, 123 South 6th St. in Orange.

Commissioners will consider the following agenda items:

Accepting the contract between the Orange County Economic Development Corporation and the county through Dec. 31, 2015.

Acceptance of the Orange County grant funds for a radio tower.

A resolution nominating Hughie Allan, Laura Floyd, Tim Andrews, Tim Schossow, and Lynda Gunstream as candidates for the Board of Directors of the Orange County Appraisal District.

Approving/accepting a minor plat revision issued by the city of Orange. The parcel is located on FM 1006 in Precinct 3 within the city of Orange Extraterritorial Jurisdiction.

Approve the projects for the 2016 Routine Airport Maintenance Grant for the Orange County Airport.

A contract between the county and THEnet for internet service from Sept. 1, 2015 to August 2016.

To advertise for bids on road signs for the county.

There will be a closed meeting to discuss with the assistant county attorney pending litigation for Montano v. Orange County, Texas, in the United States District Court for The Eastern District of Texas-Beaumont Division.
