Hometown News For Orange County, Texas

Daily Weather Update

The National Weather Service is continuing to monitor the rain forecast for the end of this week into the weekend. There is still considerable uncertainty with the timing and accumulation totals for this event.

There should be no rain for the next three days, through Wednesday.

The timing of a cold front to our northwest and a weak trough of low pressure in the western Gulf of Mexico will interact and increase the rain chances in our region, starting Friday and continue through the weekend. The exact timing and location of the heaviest rain is still up in the air. Today we are showing a five inch plus bulls-eye for south Texas, from Corpus Christi area south to Brownsville. For our region, rain totals are forecast 1-2 inches, with the higher amounts in southeast Texas, and lowest in south central Louisiana.
