WOS Stallions host HJ in final home games

The Stallions hosted Hardin Jefferson for their final home games of the year. The combined B team kicked off the night tying the Hawks 6-6. Kaiden Berry scored the lone touchdown for the Stallions. Troy Boagni lead the defense making several tackles in the backfield along with Labarius Spraggins and Berry who each recovered a fumble.

In the second game of the night the 7A team lost 12-0. The offense was lead by a solid rushing attack from Andre Thomas and Patick Mickey, but the stingy Hawk defense kept the Stallions out of the end zone for the first time this year. Defensive standouts were Jalen Thompson and Jacob Dominguez.

The Stallions won their final game of the night 17-0 in the 8A game. Wilbert Ned and Ta'ron Riley each rushed for a touchdown and Paulino Santos would add the extra points. Santos would also add a 21 yard field goal. Devon Thornton helped lead the defense to their fourth shutout of the year along with Hykiem Taylor who came up with a late interception to seal the victory. The Stallions will travel to Mauriceville Tuesday night for their final two games of the year. The 7th grade will kickoff at 5:00 pm followed by the 8th grade.
