Local man begins benefit for needy children in England

How would you feel if Christmas suddenly wasn't coming this year? Well for over 600 kids, it may not. It was recently learned that there is a community ran program that is designed to be a safe haven for kids after school and also during the holidays. This program is called Felix Road Adventure Playground (FRAP). This playground is located in Easton, Bristol. which is located in the United Kingdom. FRAP is located in an area which is one of the most deprived areas in southwest England. So this program allows kids to enjoy gifts, food, and festivities while their parents are hard at work. This place allows kids to have a positive environment instead of turning to the streets.

It was recently discovered that a bookkeeper had embezzled more than $42,000.00.

Through this selfish act, the program will no longer be able to open its doors to the kids during the Christmas holidays.

This is the only opportunity for Christmas these kids will get this year.

The program has said that they need $6,000.00 to save Christmas for more than 600 kids.

However this is the bare minimum to make this great cause possible.

We would like to set a target goal of $10,000.00 to not only show our support for their community, but also give these children everything possible to make sure they have a Merry Christmas! To meet the minimum goal of $6,000 that would only be $10 per child to enjoy the gift of Christmas.

If we reach our goal of $10,000, it will allow more than 600 children to experience a great Christmas for only $17 per child.

This is possible and no donation is too small.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!

This is the season for giving and we often take for granted everything we have here, and sometimes forget about those who are less fortunate. Please help make the difference in a child's life that would not otherwise get an opportunity to enjoy Christmas.

The deadline for all donations is Nov. 20. This would ensure that the program could move forward and begin to make a difference in the lives of more than 600 kids. This means so much because it shows that we are able to bring our community together to make Christmas possible for children in an entirely different country. It would have an amazing impact on not only ourselves and the children, but also the whole community of Bristol. A local man, Donovan Weldon, Jr., will be personally flying to England with his mentor, Michael Laws to make sure that all funds raised will be used for their intended purpose.

Thank you so much for your contribution, we can not wait to bring Easton, Bristol a Very Texas Christmas!
