SFCU donates $1,150 to Gift of Life

Representatives from Sabine Federal Credit Union presented a check to the Julie Rogers "Gift of Life" program this past Friday afternoon for $1,150. Employees contributed $5 each Wednesday they opted to wear blue jeans or a Breast Cancer Awareness T-shirt during the month of October. Employees of a local financial institution have helped a worthy organization, while enjoying a little comfort in the process.

The employees of Sabine Federal Credit Union made a donation of $1,1150.20 to Julie Rogers "Gift of Life" program on Friday afternoon in Orange. This donation was made possible by donations from credit union staff.

According to Kristen McCauley of Sabine Federal Credit Union, employees are allowed to wear jeans instead of professional attire on Wednesdays during the month of October for a $5 donation each Wednesday.

Pink bracelets were also sold at the teller lines to help raise funds. The donation was the accumulation of those funds.
