HEB celebrates annual Feast of Sharing, employees serve food at Orange non-profit

To celebrate the holiday season and H-E-B’s Spirit of Giving, H-E-B is sponsoring its 25th annual Feast of Sharing celebration in Beaumont from Dec. 14 -18. For an entire week, hundreds of partners (employees) from H-E-B stores in the Golden Triangle will serve food and volunteer at area-nonprofit organizations. The Orange nonprofit is Nutrition Services for Seniors.

“Feast of Sharing is a key component in H-E-B’s year-round effort to combat hunger throughout Texas and Mexico,” said Winell Herron, group vice president of public affairs, diversity and environmental affairs. “It is one of the many ways H-E-B takes an active role in supporting local communities. Each year, we look forward to serving these communities and expressing our gratitude by giving back to our customers and their families during the holiday season.”

H-E-B’s commitment and involvement in the community has been recognized as an important part of the way the company does business. The Feast of Sharing tradition began in 1988, and H-E-B’s holiday dinner program has grown to serve more than 250,000 meals in 32 locations throughout Texas and Mexico.

H-E-B employs more than 86,000 Partners in Texas and 9,000 Partners in Mexico and serves millions of customers in more than 300 communities. For more information, visit www.heb.com.
