Lower speed limit to be enforced on Hwy. 73

The speed limit along SH 87/SH 73 from W. Port Arthur Rd. to Bridge City will be lowered Tuesday, Feb. 23, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.

The Texas Transportation Commission passed a minute order Dec. 17, 2015 allowing for the reduction in speed from 75 mph to 65 mph. The new speed limit will be enforceable to the new signs have been installed.
