Senior Rally Day huge success

The 47th Annual Senior Citizens Rally Day hosted by Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Orange County and Committee on Aging on Tuesday, May 10, was a huge success. There were approximately 400 in attendance.

The seniors were able to visit 45 health vendors, play bingo, enjoy a Spaghetti dinner from Romano’s Italian Restaurant, door prizes, presentation on Medicare by Angela Cole, RN. BSN, Instructor with Lamar State College Orange-Allied Health and Toya Creel, BSW, Social Worker and entertainment by Britt Godwin.

This year Harbor Hospice of Beaumont received the Best Decorated Booth award. Thanks to Kiwanis for volunteering to serve the meal to the seniors in attendance. This event allows us to show appreciation for our Seniors with a free day dedicated to them.
