Carlton Stinnett Walls, 69, of Bridge City, passed away June 5, in Port Arthur.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, June 9, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Officiating will be the Rev. Jerry Walls. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.
Visitation will be from 6:00-9:00 p.m., Wednesday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.
Born in Montgomery, Al., January 24, 1947, he was the son of Lister Walls and LaVerne (Stinnett) Walls Mikeal. Even though he was born in Alabama, Carlton grew up in Texas and considered himself a Texan. Carlton retired from Exxon Mobil as an operator. He was a disabled veteran who served as a Paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division in the United States Army. He served his country in Vietnam and the Dominican Republic. Carlton was a member of the 82nd Airborne Golden Brigade and the American Legion, and a was history buff who loved reading.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Susan Walls; children, Jesse Walls, Jamie Walls, Tracey Craig, Corey Chance and Jason Walls; 13 grandchildren and his siblings, Jerry Walls, Jeff Walls, Clay Walls, Kim Walls Holmes, Paula Fortenberry, Patti Gose, Mark Walls and Tammy Lepak.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jesse Walls, Jamie Walls, Jason Walls, Jeff Walls, Clay Walls and Robby Chance.
